Black Altar Cancels Brazilian Tour Dates Due to Unexpected Circumstances
Polish black metal act Black Altar has been forced to cancel their planned Brazilian tour dates in May before the official announcement could even take place. The cancellation comes as a result of unforeseen and troubling events involving the owner of M.A.D. Productions , the company responsible for organizing the tour.
According to a statement from Black Altar, the tour's cancellation was due to a mental breakdown and apparent suicide attempt by the owner of M.A.D. Productions. As a result, all of the company’s scheduled tours and events were immediately canceled, leaving multiple bands stranded. Reports indicate that Yoth Iria and Nargaroth were among the affected artists, allegedly left abandoned at the airport.
Despite the setback, Black Altar remains committed to bringing their music to South America. The band has announced plans to reschedule the entire South American tour for next year . Meanwhile, they will focus on their upcoming concerts in Mexico for 2025.
"We are sorry about this situation, but these were circumstances beyond our control," the band stated. "Next year, we will return to South America and play a longer tour."
Fans in Mexico can still look forward to seeing Black Altar perform this year, while South American fans can expect an even bigger tour in 2026. Stay tuned for further updates. Hail!
