Necht Unleashes New Single: 'For Violence Was Wrought Upon Me'

Necht, derived from an old Scots word meaning "night," emerges from the depths of darkness to unveil their latest single, 'For Violence Was Wrought Upon Me'. This grim, martial, and epic black metal saga delves into the mythos of the Enkari, the ancient human civilization, and their revered sun-god, B’ahn.

Drawing inspiration from the foundational sounds of second wave black metal pioneers such as Dark Funeral and early Satyricon, while infusing contemporary elements reminiscent of Helrunar and Batushka, Necht crafts an evocative blend of coldly emotive riffs, thunderous drums, piercing screams, guttural chants, intricate bass lines, and haunting keys.

The single is a precursor to Necht's highly anticipated debut full-length album, 'Meditation', set to be released on May 17, 2024. Clocking in at approximately 50 minutes, 'The Prophecy of Karnifor' consists of seven gripping sermons intertwined with two mesmerizing instrumentals, promising an immersive journey into the depths of darkness and mysticism.
