Musically, SOG is probably best described as a mixture of thrash metal meets groove monsters. The band fights their way through the thirteen songs without compromise, which total an impressive 60 minutes of playing time. High-speed riffs are chased by breakdowns and a good portion of groove. Staying seated is difficult with "Man Demonic", the mixture of two such powerful styles is simply too energetic to listen to calmly. There is no doubt that you will also find one or the other not so strong song on the album, but these only make a very small contribution to the total. Of course, there are one or two slightly weaker songs on "Man Demonic", but I wouldn't call any of them a direct failure.
In the long term, it's "Prolonging the Ordeals of the Dying" and "There's a Witch in the Woods" in particular, which are becoming personal favourites. SOG bring out the heavy artillery with their album, an almost endless amount of energy meets high-speed riffs and unstoppable groove. With "Man Demonic" SOG release an album that without a doubt is able to stand out from the crowd of daily Death Metal releases. For lovers of more extreme Metal, "Man Demonic" is undoubtedly a real insider tip that you should definitely give a chance. Metal Division Magazine

Short Bio: SOG has managed to trace the whole evolution from speed to thrash to death metal with the gradual development of their raw, violent sound. All of this is encompassed in SOG’s third offering, “Man Demonic” (2023), the follow up to God Complex (2017). On a total of thirteen tracks, the axe is swung through the undergrowth with an onslaught of sonic euphoria. It's dirty, it's fast, there are genre typical lyrics, but also extremely critical tones on the record. If God Complex was a bit too rough for you, MAN DEMONIC will be a pleasure for you. The sound is clearer, you can hear all instruments nicely differentiated and Doyle Bright is vocally outstanding and fits like a glove. Furthermore, the very varied drumming of Dane Jensen is to be emphasized - he really beats up his kit in every song as if it owed him a chunk of money.
SOG - MAN DEMONIC is for the real old-school fans! No super polished production, just raw and aggressive carnage, with the charm of the 80s!
