Humachine, like Primal, was produced by GRAMMY Award winner Iggy Elisabetsky at D-Organization Studios in Los Angeles, California. The grater was mastered by Rob Colwell at Bombworks Studios in Texas. Before we listen to the songs, here is a quote from Glenn Rogers and what he says about “Humachine”:

“Humachine” contains eleven well-structured songs in the vein of traditional heavy metal, with a solid rhythmic base and strong melodies.”

“Humachine” opens with the song 'The Cage', in which the guitars are in the foreground. In principle, that sounds good if the singing were just as powerful, because it goes under a bit. The title song 'Humachine (Heavy Toll)' will be well received by the headbanger faction and owners of high-quality air guitars will also rejoice. Via the strong 'Firefighter' and 'Unleash In Madness', which bangs out of the loudspeakers, we move on to 'End Times', where I like the vocals better and are more present. 'Warrior's Code' was released as a single and gives a very good taste of what to expect on “Humachine”. 'Savior' slows down a bit at the beginning, but again delivers a great guitar solo, as is also the case in the wide-legged, grooving 'Infernal Nightmare'.

“Humachine” is fun throughout, but it's spoiled a bit by the vocals, which sometimes lack the power for me. The strong sound, above all the very present guitar sounds, also requires fire behind the microphone. That doesn't mean that a mediocre singer is at work here, because Alberto Zamarbide can also sing powerfully, as he proves, for example, at the end of 'Ever' or also on the title track 'Humachine' and on 'End Times'. “Humachine” is definitely a buy tip for friends of strong guitar sounds and for fans of solid and straightforward US metal anyway!

NoLifeTilMetal Records is proud to announce the CD and vinyl release of PRIMAL's latest release "Humachine."

Primal is made up of Alberto Zamarbide, lead singer of the legendary Argentine bands V8 and Logos; Jorge Iacobellis (Hirax) on drums, and Glenn Rogers (Deliverance) on guitars. “Humachine” is the sophomore release from this band of veteran musicians. The bands debut self titled album was released in 2016 to much critical acclaim, and was entirely produced by Iggy Elisabetsky, winner of two Grammy Awards, at D-Organization Studios in Los Angeles, California and mastered by Rob Colwell at Bombworks Studios in Texas.

“Humachine” contains 11 well-structured songs for fans of traditional heavy metal, with a solid rhythmic bass and strong melodies throughout and follows the musical direction of bands debut release. The new album will also be mastered for vinyl and CD by Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound.

Earlier this month the first single “Warrior's Code" was released and has been already getting many views and positive feedback.
