Declared  Dead  are  a  band  from  Belgium  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  goes  for  more  of  a  progressive  mixture  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2022  album  "Integument  Of  Golden  Luster".

  A  very  heavy  and  aggressive  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  black  metal  screams  a  few  seconds  later.  Elements  of  thrash  metal  can  also  be  heard  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  the  vocals  also  go  into  that  direction  at  times  and  the  music  is  mostly  rooted  in  the  80's  and  early  90's  era.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  old  school  extreme  metal  style.  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  heat  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  songs  also  mixing  in  some  influences  from  the  early  era  of  death  metal  at  times  as  well  as  some  of the  riffing  and  leads  also  mixing  in  some  progressive  structures,  keyboards  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  as  the  album  progresses  an  instrumental  can  also  be  heard.

  On  this  recording  Declared  Dead  add  more  progressive  elements  into  their  mixture  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  to  take  their  style  to  another  level.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness,  violence  and  occultism  themes.  

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  great  sounding  recording  from  Declared  Dead  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  progressive  black,  death  and  thrash  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "With  Unfettered  Tread"  "Tonguing  The  Amputee"  and  " Languishing  In  Ligature".  8  out  of  10. - BlackenedDeathMetalZine

Declared Dead began at the beginning of June 2014 (through the leadership of Anders Milovovich). After a demo was swiftly gathered and released, the first line-up parted ways and the second (more viable) line-up developed (which has remained consistent for close to eight years and counting). The current line-up is as follows:

Mikhel Van Zaal: Drums/Keyboards
