Heavy Metal is international, global. It was already like that at times when tapes were still crossing over the big water, in a networked world anyway. Even if the scenes on different continents or countries developed their very own characteristics, they always fertilized each other. Thus, the spirit of IRON MAIDNs can already be seen in the early days with US icons like LIZZY BORDEN up to OVERKILL, so it should not be surprising if I initially suspected a new hope for US metal behind the IRONBOUND, which has been active since 2014. Even if the MAIDEN roots become stronger in the course of the album, our Polish friends and avowed NWoBHM lovers always remain stylistically interesting and varied, not least because of the singing of Łukasz Krauze – who has a similarly high recognition value as Olaf Reimann (RA'S DAWN) or Berti Majdan (GRAVESTONE). For me personally, this successful debut after an EP (2017) and a single (2018) is far more gripping than a new MAIDEN album or the project attempt to ton a great Bruce Singalike with moderate songs as a new sensation.
Just as AGAINST EVIL has already gained a fan base of metalworkers from different directions in the speedier area, IRONBOUND should also succeed in getting a variety of camps to fear together. Warriors of the World – unite and let there be Light! - Streetclip

If there was any chance for a NWOBHM-inspired band to come into life in the heart of Polish Silesia, then it happened in 2014 in Rybnik. Three friends, one goal: heavy metal. Zbigniew, Adam and Krzysztof took the prosperous guitarist, Michał, under their wings and formed IRONBOUND. After recruiting Bartosz to take over vocal duties they record their first EP – „She Devil”. They started to follow this direction, even though Bartosz decided to exit the speedy train not long after releasing the EP. However, on their adventure course the band members were quickly approached by Łukasz and the and became stronger than ever with the new lead singer. „The Witch Hunt / Lifesblood” single from 2018 was a harbinger of what a band was going to deliver – their first full album „The Lightbringer” will have its premiere on April 30th 2021 and it’s sure to assuage the hunger of every metal maniac craving for some good, oldschool NWOBHM vibes.
