Interviews with Abysmal Domination and Sun Descends Black by Dave Wolff

The latest interviews posted at Autoeroticasphyxium’s blog are Abysmal Domination from Colombia and Sun Descends Black from the U.S. Abysmal Domination formed in 2018 and are preparing to release their debut album "Cryptica Manipulación Omnipresente" in December. The band’s guitarist Alexander Olaya Ojeda says the Colombian death metal scene has become unique since its formative years. The bands’ sound, technique and performances have grown into “ultra metal” which reflects the social and economic conditions of Colombia. Sun Descends Black is part of the death metal scene in Little Rock, Arkansas which guitarist Dustin Weddle describes as being extremely small (the doom and sludge scene has always been much more prominent there). He says the underground in Arkansas is a collective community where fans and venue owners all know one another. He also mentions an all-local death metal show that is scheduled to happen in November. Both interviews are linked below.
