The band was deeply influenced by the style and sound of Macabre Omen, Varathron, Rotting Christ and this resulted in the theme of the songs being enriched with many references to the Αncient Greek (Hellenic) world and the occult element. Since then their music has been self-identified as "Rhodian Black Metal". 2019 saw the release of the EP "Cult of the Moon" and the following year saw the debut album "Stygian Winds of a Dark Age". These first three releases by the band are with the original line-up of Archon Marchosias on guitars and bass, and Elder on vocals, guitars, drums and keyboards. In 2023 with the additions of Dimon on drums and Sitri on vocals, Shavalyoth with the "Marchosias" EP deliver us something even darker and occult in their music that does not go unnoticed!
