Message from Watain:
NEW DATE: September 12th. SAME VENUE! Your tickets are valid to the new date.
Ladies and gentlemen, in these pest-ridden times it will not come as a great surprise to anyone that the date of the Uppsala festivities will have to be moved. The new date will be Saturday the 12th of September. Your tickets will still be valid and we hope to see all of you there, dead or alive.
If you wish to support Watain during the months ahead, we will be adding new merch items to the European and the North American Wolf Wear stores ( www.wolfwear.net ), both open for customers worldwide.
In the meantime, the spirit of Watain remains largely unaffected by the current hiatus of the man-world, and we will proceed with our various duties and projects, which have amassed steadily during the Trident Wolf Eclipse era. We look forward to share some of our harvest with you in the time to come.
Finally, let us now behold and contemplate as the dark angel of disease walks by, sending forth its curses and blessings upon us all. May it shatter many illusions and lay to waste many things which have been allowed to stand for far too long. May your solitude and isolation be catalysts for deep reflection and self-awareness. Study the movements of the dark. Play our music loud and let it remind you that chaos and upheaval are forces from which much can be gained and reaped if approached accordingly. Ladies and gentlemen, we hereby invite you all to a monumental day and night in our hometown. On September 12, 2020 – we are hosting a grand celebration in the heart of Uppsala, in the form of an intimate outdoor festival featuring bands, vendors, handicrafts, art, food and drinks; all under the banner of Watain.
Watain last performed in Uppsala at the sold-out release show for The Wild Hunt, seven years ago. This will be the last opportunity to see the band in Sweden for a considerable amount of time.
