KORPSE Releases New EP 'Forbid' Featuring LAMB OF GOD Cover

Dutch slamming brutal death metal outfit KORPSE has released a new three-song EP, Forbid , via Unique Leader Records. The effort is available digitally as of August 21.

The EP features two original tracks, "Forbid" and "Imminent Immolation," along with a cover of LAMB OF GOD's "Now You've Got Something To Die For."

The title track is accompanied by a new visualizer, which can be viewed below.

Regarding the new EP, KORPSE stated: "'Forbid' is an uncompromising piece of brutality. Extended with lyrics and a message that adds a new layer of aggression. Make no mistake, this is not an attempt to fit into anyone's comfortable picture. Korpse will remain None So Brutal."

KORPSE was formed in the Netherlands in 2013 by drummer Marten van Kruijssen . The band's current lineup is rounded out by vocalist Sven van Dijk , guitarist Floor van Kuijk and bassist Ante Zorić .

The band has built its reputation around an uncompromising brand of slamming brutal death metal, combining massive breakdowns, grinding speed and extreme vocals. KORPSE has also developed a reputation as a formidable live act, having performed extensively throughout Europe and North America.

The band has released three full-length albums in addition to its new EP, maintaining a consistent approach both on record and onstage.
