Marilyn Manson kicked off his European summer tour in explosive fashion, treating fans to the live debut of his brand new single, "Exit Wound," during his headlining performance at Resurrection Fest in Viveiro, Spain, on July 4.
The performance marked the first time the track has been played live and offered fans an early taste of Manson's upcoming album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, which is scheduled for release on August 14 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Taking the stage at Campo de fútbol Celeiro, Manson opened the night with "Nod If You Understand" before delivering a career-spanning set packed with fan favorites from across his catalog. Midway through the performance, the band launched into "Exit Wound," giving festivalgoers the first-ever live performance of the new single.
The set also featured tracks including "Disposable Teens," "Angel With the Scabbed Wings," "The Nobodies," "The Dope Show," "mOBSCENE," and the perennial closer "The Beautiful People." Fans were also treated to "As Sick as the Secrets Within," another recent track from the current album cycle.
One of the night's biggest surprises came during the encore, when Manson closed the show with his cover of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus," marking the first time he had performed the song live since 2017.
The European tour continues with additional dates across Spain before Manson heads back to the United States later this year for a series of special performances celebrating the 30th anniversary of Antichrist Superstar.
Fan-shot footage of "Exit Wound" has already begun circulating online, giving fans who couldn't make it to Resurrection Fest a first look at the newest addition to Marilyn Manson's live show. With One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 arriving next month, the new material appears poised to become a major part of the band's setlist throughout the remainder of the tour.
