The São Paulo residents of Chaosfea r today launched, on traditional streaming platforms, an emblematic version of "The Toxic Waltz" , by the American band Exodus , with the participation of none other than Steve 'Zetro' Souza , lead singer of the kings giants of the Bay Area Thrash Metal, singing along with Fernando Boccomino (vocal / guitar) in a monstrous duet.
Produced, mixed and mastered by bassist Marco Nunes , the version of Chaosfear brought all the extraordinary and original weight of the track to contemporary molds, giving a greater extension and aggressiveness to the riffs, sounding in a modern way without losing or mischaracterizing the essence and vitality of in the old days. Some different vocalizations performed by Steve 'Zetro' Souza also brought an extra charm to the new interpretation of this classic, as neither side would like to repeat what was once done.
Originally released on the classic album "Fabulous Disaster" in 1989, Steve 'Zetro' Souza's second album with Exodus , his video clip was shown to exhaustion, including in Brazil, marking a whole generation of maniacs since then.
If Thrash Metal has registered trademarks, "The Toxic Waltz" is one of them and, now, for sure, it will mark not only Chaosfear's career, but also that of his musicians forever.
Soon, "The Toxic Waltz (featuring Steve 'Zetro' Souza)" will also feature a video clip! Stay tuned!

"We made a dream come true! Ever since kids were freaking out in the video for" The Toxic Waltz ". Imagine for some 13 and 15 year old kids watching those guys rocking and jumping like crazy on stage! It was surreal! To be able to make a version of it and count on Steve 'Zetro' Souza's own participation singing with us was really a 'zero' in life. I am very grateful to our advisor Johnny Z. (JZ Press), for helping us in this endeavor. Stay Metal! " , commented Fernando Boccomino (vocal / guitar)
"Very crazy! I'm still pinching myself to see if it's true! I never imagined that something like this would happen one day. The music that kept me rocking with my friends, or even alone, and now I can record it together with Zetro , her original vocalist, is something immeasurable and speechless! I just have to thank our advice for the excellent work! " , commented Fábio Moysés (drums)
"It's still kind of surreal to think that one of the guys who started the movement that we now call Thrash Metal is there, yelling at us one of the most iconic tracks in the style. I hope everyone enjoys our humble version! Ah, fuck it, if Zetro really liked it, it is a fact that you will too (laughs)! " , commented Marco Nunes (bass / production)
"Exodus is a band that influenced, and still influences, practically everyone in Chaosfear and a gigantic portion of headbangers. The" The Toxic Waltz "video was exactly what we wanted to do," banging "and doing some" stage diving " ". Then, all of a sudden, you have the opportunity to record this same song and you have one of the owners of the parade, on vocals ... Very surreal, only Gary Holt was missing (laughs). Without our advice we would not have achieved this nor a lot that we have achieved " , commented Eduardo Boccomino (solo guitar)
"Sounds great !!! I tried to add some diffenrt spices to my voice and it ended up with more current flavor! I'm glad I could be part of Chaosfear guys' dream and it was actually fun singing the song in studio 31 years later again. I really dig this! Good job and good luck guys! Chaosfear and Zetrodus! " , commented Steve 'Zetro' Souza (vocal / Exodus)
Chaosfear 's most recent full studio album, “Be The Light In Dark Days” , was released in June and has 7 dense and melancholic tracks, alternating passages that are sometimes dark and rhythmic, sometimes fast and full of 'punch', with a robust and modern production, emphasizing the purest weight of contemporary Thrash Metal. The muffled reeds, profuse riffs, aggressiveness and unique brutality were so high that the comfort zone within the band was no longer an option.
