October 30, 2019 – Los Angeles, CA - The Portland, Oregon-based power/thrash quintet SILVER TALON – praised by Metal-Temple.com for their “aggressive, virtuosic, flawless, and polished heavy metal” – have spent much of the past 12 months touring in support of their acclaimed, self-released 2018 debut EP “Becoming A Demon.” They're not done yet, though, as the group has just announced another two-week trek with metal occultists Savage Master (Shadow Kingdom Records). The tour includes an appearance at the Los Angeles Burning Fest on November 2 and an Atlanta performance alongside Vital Remains eight nights later. See below for the band's complete itinerary.
“We’re excited to round out 2019 with one last tour in support of our debut EP – ‘Becoming A Demon’ - and can’t wait to blast out some decibels with the fine folks in Savage Master,” states guitarist Bryce VanHoosen. “Expect to hear a couple new ones on this run, and get ready for our debut full-length out next year on M-Theory Records.”
“Becoming The Demon” – hailed by Dead Rhetoric as “sharp, sophisticated and awe-inspiring” – is a precursor to SILVER TALON's forthcoming full-length debut, due via M-Theory Audio in early 2020. Recorded with Zach Ohren (Exmortus, Warbringer, Machine Head), the EP sees four former members of the acclaimed traditional metal band Spellcaster – Bryce VanHoosen (guitar), Gabriel Franco (bass), Colin Franizan (drums) and Sebastian Silva (guitar) – join forces with vocalist Wyatt Howell (Sanctifyre) to perform what VanHoosen calls a “more over-the-top” style of metal than their former group. “The songs are more complicated, more progressive, more aggressive, and there’s more guitar solos and crazier vocal harmonies,” he says.
With a virtuosic guitar attack, a rumbling rhythm section and powerful vocals, SILVER TALON – who in recent months have performed alongside the likes of Evergrey, Warbringer, Enforcer, Exmortus, Unleash The Archers, Striker, The Absence, Powerglove and Hatchet – is razor-sharp and ready to become a major force in heavy metal. Catch them live at one of the below dates to see why.
“Influenced by U.S. metal greats like Savatage, Omen and Helstar, but with the kind of unique twist that made Manilla Road stand out from the pack, SILVER TALON are an exciting prospect... the future looks bright for U.S. metal with SILVER TALON around.” – Zero Tolerance
