PARKER, COLORADO | Colorado alternative metal band Less Than Perfect (LTP) is bringing its message of perseverance and hope back to the forefront with the re-release of its powerful single “Never Surrender,” released September 25, 2026, through DI Records .

Built around the belief that the storm does not get the final word, “Never Surrender” transforms pain, survival, and the determination to keep moving forward into a modern rock anthem for anyone who has been broken, underestimated, counted out, or pushed to the edge but refuses to give up.

The re-release marks another step forward for Less Than Perfect as the band continues its journey with DI Records, expanding its reach while preparing new music and working toward its third full-length album, expected in early 2027.

The past does not define you. The scars do not determine your future. Never surrender.

For Less Than Perfect, that message is more than a lyrical theme. It is the foundation of the band's identity.

Built around the dynamic father-daughter partnership of guitarist Andrew Matson and vocalist Kyra Matson , alongside drummer Chris Van Meter and bassist Denny Underwood , Less Than Perfect combines crushing alternative metal riffs, soaring melodies, driving rhythms, and deeply personal lyrics into a sound that balances raw emotion with hard-hitting modern rock.

“Never Surrender” speaks directly to those who have faced adversity, dealt with judgment, or struggled to find their footing when life seemed determined to knock them down. Rather than allowing those experiences to define the future, the song delivers a reminder that survival itself can become a source of strength.

According to the band:

"Casting Stones and Never Surrender represent everything Less Than Perfect stands for. They're for anyone who's ever been judged, knocked down, or told they weren't enough. Our message is simple: your past doesn't define you, your scars don't determine your future, and giving up is never the answer. We hope our songs remind people to lift each other up, keep fighting, and never stop believing that their best chapter is still ahead. If our music reminds even one person that their story isn't over and gives them the strength to keep moving forward, then we've succeeded."

Formed in 2022, Less Than Perfect has steadily built its presence through emotionally driven songwriting and energetic live performances. The band has shared stages with national acts including TRAPT, Smile Empty Soul, HED PE, Faster Pussycat, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, and Crashing Wayward , establishing connections with audiences through music rooted in real-life struggles and the determination to overcome them.

The band's 2025 album, TENET , showcased that approach through standout tracks including “Man in the Mask,” “Own Worst Enemy,” “Habitual,” and “Take It All.” The group has continued developing its sound through subsequent singles, including “Casting Stones,” while working on its next full-length release.

Now, with “Never Surrender” back in circulation and its partnership with DI Records moving forward, Less Than Perfect is setting its sights on the next stage of its evolution.

The message remains simple: setbacks do not have to be the end of the story.

The storm does not get the final word. Never surrender.
