DESSAU, GERMANY — German solo artist Chris Maragoth is set to release The Entrance (Renascentia) on September 25, 2026, introducing the first chapter of his forthcoming album Bonds of Grief . Blending cinematic gothic and symphonic metal with baroque-inspired classical elements, the instrumental single revisits one of Maragoth’s earliest compositions and transforms it through a dramatically expanded musical vision.

Originally composed in 2019 as an instrumental piece, The Entrance (Renascentia) represents both a return to Maragoth’s musical roots and a reflection of how far his artistic approach has evolved. Rather than simply reproducing the original composition, the new version reinterprets its foundation through richer orchestration, heavier guitars, refined production and a broader dynamic range.

The track begins with the delicate interplay of harpsichord and string quartet , establishing an atmosphere steeped in classical elegance before gradually giving way to heavy guitars, sweeping orchestral arrangements and expressive live strings. Entirely instrumental, the composition allows its cinematic arrangement to carry the emotional narrative, creating a dark and immersive soundscape where gothic melancholy meets symphonic grandeur.

Adding an unmistakably human dimension to the production are returning collaborators Sanya Smileska of North Macedonia on viola and Polina Faustova of Ukraine on cello . Both musicians have previously contributed to Maragoth’s work, and their performances continue an international musical collaboration that brings warmth, depth and organic character to the orchestral arrangements.

The title itself, The Entrance (Renascentia) , reflects the song’s role within the larger project. It serves as the gateway into Bonds of Grief , an upcoming album centered around instrumental storytelling, cinematic atmosphere and emotionally driven compositions.

“Revisiting one of my earliest instrumental compositions from 2019, the new version transforms the original into a cinematic blend of gothic and symphonic metal enriched by baroque-inspired elements,” says Chris Maragoth. “It is the first single from my upcoming album Bonds of Grief .”

From composition and orchestration to recording, artwork and visual promotion, every creative decision was made by human artists, emphasizing craftsmanship, collaboration and authenticity.

Mixed and mastered by Joker Tone Studio in Minden, Germany , the new production gives the composition the clarity and scale necessary to bridge its classical foundation with the weight and atmosphere of modern gothic and symphonic metal.
