Old school death metal veterans Jungle Rot are asking fans for support after a sudden travel disaster left the band stranded and hit with unexpected expenses while on tour. The group has launched a GoFundMe campaign titled Help Us Get Back on the Road to recover the financial losses and keep their current touring cycle moving forward.

According to the band, the situation began when a flight was canceled without warning during their current tour. That single disruption created a chain reaction of costs, forcing the group to cover emergency lodging, transportation, driver fees, and last minute travel rebooking.
In their statement, Jungle Rot explained that independent touring acts operate on extremely tight margins, where one major delay or cancellation can erase profits from multiple shows. What might look like a simple travel issue on the surface quickly becomes a serious financial burden when multiplied across an entire tour schedule.
The band emphasized that every part of their touring operation is budgeted in advance, meaning unexpected disruptions can put pressure on both the musicians and the crew working behind the scenes to keep the run alive.
Jungle Rot addressed fans directly, stressing that the goal of the GoFundMe is simply to recover from the unexpected losses and continue the tour as planned.
They noted that any donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward covering travel related expenses. For fans unable to contribute financially, the band said that sharing the fundraiser is just as valuable in helping spread the word and ease the burden.
The message reflects a familiar reality for long running underground bands, where community support often plays a critical role in keeping tours viable when setbacks hit.
Despite the setback, Jungle Rot continue their extensive “Back to the Old School Tour,” which includes club shows and major European festival appearances throughout summer 2026.
The tour features support from acts including KHNVM and Rats Of Gomorrah on select legs, alongside appearances at major festivals across Europe.
Stops include cities across the Baltics, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, and major festival dates such as Obscene Extreme Festival, Dortmund Deathfest, Partysan Festival, and Alcatraz Festival.
The situation highlights a harsh truth of modern touring life. Even established underground bands are not immune to logistical failures that can quickly snowball into major financial setbacks. A single canceled flight can ripple through an entire schedule, impacting lodging, transport, and production costs across multiple countries.
For Jungle Rot, the focus remains on staying on the road and delivering shows to fans who have supported them for decades. The GoFundMe is simply a way to bridge an unexpected gap and keep the tour moving forward without further disruption.
As the band continues their 2026 run, the message is clear: the music does not stop, but sometimes the road needs a little help keeping it alive.
