BURNT WITCH RACKS UP CREDIBILITY WITH WEEDIAN FEATURE AND MATT PIKE PRAISE

West Tennessee – West Tennessee doom and sludge four-piece Burnt Witch continue to cement their place in the underground heavy scene. Their EP Dopelich , released independently on February 13, 2026, was recently featured in Weedian ’s Best Releases of February , earning recognition for its dense riffs, hypnotic grooves, and swamp-soaked Southern atmosphere.

Building on this momentum, the band has released a rig rundown video showcasing lead guitarist Matt Page’s setup, giving fans an in-depth look at the gear behind their massive tone. The video has since caught the attention of Matt Pike (of Sleep / High on Fire ), who praised the breakdown—a major nod of approval from one of modern doom and sludge’s foremost guitar titans.

The rig features several standout pedals from Does It Doom , including the devastatingly heavy Baghdad, giving Dopelich its thick, cavernous tone that fans of Electric Wizard , Crowbar , and Eyehategod crave.
