Cryptopsy to Headline 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour Celebrating 30 Years of None So Vile

After nearly 35 years of uncompromising brutality and technical dominance, Cryptopsy remain the undisputed standard bearers of extreme death metal. The Canadian legends have now announced they will headline the 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour , leading North America’s longest-running heavy metal tour alongside Necrot, Fulci, and Blood Monolith .

The announcement comes as Cryptopsy are already tearing through Europe on their current All So Vile headline tour, further cementing their status as one of the most relentless live acts in the genre. Their set on the Decibel Magazine Tour will celebrate two major milestones: the 30th anniversary of their Decibel Hall of Fame-inducted classic None So Vile and the continued impact of their latest album, An Insatiable Violence .

Released via Season of Mist, An Insatiable Violence closed out last year dominating year-end lists at Decibel , Metal Injection , BangerTV , No Clean Singing , and more, while also making waves on the Billboard charts. It proved that Cryptopsy are not a legacy act coasting on reputation, but a band still pushing themselves and the genre forward with ferocity and intent.

Decibel Magazine Editor-in-Chief Albert Mudrian summed it up best:
“Between the strength of the material on their latest release, An Insatiable Violence , and the anniversary celebration of their landmark None So Vile , 2026 is clearly the year of Peak Cryptopsy. We couldn’t be more honored to bring the band’s paramount present and potent past together to headline this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour.”

Vocalist Matt McGachy echoed that sentiment, calling the opportunity surreal. Celebrating None So Vile night after night while unleashing newer material from An Insatiable Violence , he says, feels like honoring the band’s roots while making a bold statement about where Cryptopsy stand today. According to McGachy, these shows will be “violent, cathartic and unforgettable” and with this lineup, that feels like an understatement.

The 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour marks the tour’s 13th run and spans 21 dates across the United States and Canada, kicking off April 30 in Worcester, Massachusetts and wrapping May 28 in Montreal, Quebec. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 30 at 10 am local time .

With a setlist built around one of the most influential death metal albums ever recorded and new material proving the band’s modern dominance, Cryptopsy headlining the Decibel Magazine Tour feels less like a victory lap and more like a warning shot. Three decades in, they are still insatiable.

As Decibel once put it, “Cryptopsy have the chops of the conservatoire and the temperament of the wolverine. Pound for pound, they are the most vicious of all.” In 2026, they plan to prove it again, one city at a time.
