UK-based solo artist Hook & Lace , the project of musician and producer Matt Corné , unleashes “Blaze” , the first single from the upcoming full-length album Unblossoming , out Friday, January 30th via Malonche Records .

“Blaze” hits hard and fast, blending technical riffing, crushing groove, soaring vocals, and a space-like atmospheric edge. It’s aggressive without being mindless, melodic without being soft, and completely uninterested in staying inside neat genre lines. Call it progressive metal if you need a label, but Hook & Lace plays by feel, not rules.

Created entirely independently by Corné, Hook & Lace thrives in the tension between noise and catchiness, heaviness and restraint. Fans will hear shades of Meshuggah’s rhythmic precision and Avenged Sevenfold’s melodic ambition , filtered through a singular vision that values impact over trends.
