Fresh off the release of their crushing new EP Seeds of Apostasy , the Russian death metal juggernaut has unleashed a brand new guitar playthrough for the track “Sick Absolution” — and it hits like a steel-toed kick to the sternum.

Two decades deep and still swinging harder than most bands half their age, Monastery Dead keep proving why they’re one of the most uncompromising forces in the underground. Seeds of Apostasy is already carving its place in the global death metal trenches, delivering seven blistering tracks soaked in existential torment, spiritual decay, and pure sonic violence.

Formed in 2004, the band has spent years perfecting their craft through relentless touring and sharing stages with giants like Dying Fetus, Unleashed, Benighted, Impaled Nazarene, and Haemorrhage. With four full-length albums behind them and a reputation for bone-grinding intensity, Monastery Dead have cemented themselves as a defining export of Russian brutality.

Recorded at BuzzyLick Studio with Ivan Dmitriev and mixed and mastered by Dead Kennedy, Seeds of Apostasy captures the band at their most lethal. The cover art by Ivan Stan drives the themes home with a visual gut punch that sticks with you long after the record ends.
