Violet Dusk, the rising alt-rock/metal powerhouse, is set to release her electrifying new single “Beauty is a Killer” on September 30th, 2025, delivering a sonic punch for fans of Deftones, In This Moment, and Bring Me The Horizon. Produced by Sean Dalke, the track showcases Violet’s signature blend of intense energy, melodic hooks, and emotional depth.

But this isn’t just another heavy anthem—it’s a deeply personal statement. Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Hannah (Violet Dusk) shares:

“I wanted to use this platform for something many artists within metal don’t really explore, which is body image issues and the beauty standards imposed upon women. I’ve watched so many women compare themselves to one another and tear each other down. I wanted to shine a light on that, as well as the eating disorders and mental illness we as women—and people in general—face. My hope is that through my brand and fanbase I can create an uplifting space, generating a more positive narrative within the metal community at times.”

From a young age, Violet Dusk has been committed to her craft, beginning vocal training at just five years old. She honed her skills performing with local bands and refining her songwriting, later pursuing formal studies in music at Manchester Community College and Full Sail University to sharpen her expertise in both music marketing and audio production.

Launching her solo career in 2022, Violet Dusk debuted with the single “Bury it Down,” offering a glimpse into her unique vision of energetic rock infused with alternative and active rock sensibilities. With “Beauty is a Killer,” Violet pushes her sound even further—melding aggressive riffs, haunting melodies, and compelling lyrical themes that balance raw intensity with heartfelt vulnerability.
