This past May, WITHERING EARTH unleashed their full-length opus Runebound Legacy , and the echoes are still shaking the melodic death metal underground. Conceived in 2014 by guitarist/vocalist Greg Moir , WITHERING EARTH came to full force with Dick Wisby (lead guitar), Kristian Campos (drums), and Rimond Slaathaug (bass). Together, they forged a sound that blends punishing riffs with sweeping atmospheres, pulling listeners into an immersive world of myth and steel.

At the heart of Runebound Legacy is a gripping saga: the rise and fall of a humble warrior. With his father’s ruthless vision guiding him and the aid of the berserker Ulfhednar, he seizes unimaginable power. But as the hunger of his bloodline consumes him, he must choose—redemption or surrender to the great wolf within.

Mixed and mastered by Josiah Nolan and backed by Valkyrie Management, the record captures every ounce of the band’s intensity and ambition.
