Central Georgia – Southern horror metal veterans SUGAR VIRUS return from the crypt with their third full-length studio album, KILL THE MESSENGER , set for release on October 2, 2025 via Spooky Heaven Records .

Originally formed in 1992 under the name The Fiends , SUGAR VIRUS has spent over three decades evolving their signature sound — a crushing, macabre fusion of horror punk, doom metal, and southern-fried thrash. Led by founding vocalist Jason Virus , whose unmistakable voice channels the crooning menace of Elvis Presley, 70s-era Glenn Danzig, and Billy Milano, the band continues to haunt listeners with unrelenting riffs and blood-soaked grooves.

The upcoming album KILL THE MESSENGER is a 100% DIY effort — written, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jason Virus himself. The record stays true to the band’s horror roots while pushing further into doom-laden territory, echoing influences from Danzig , Black Sabbath , and the raw energy of The Ramones .
