RUSHfest Canada 2025 Marks 10-Year Anniversary of Rush’s Final Concert with Two-Day Celebration at Massey Hall and TD Music Hall

TORONTO, ON – August 1–2, 2025 – A decade after Rush’s final performance in Los Angeles on August 1, 2015, fans from around the world will descend upon Toronto for RUSHfest Canada 2025 , a monumental two-day tribute to the legendary Canadian rock trio. Set to take place at the historic Massey Hall on Friday, August 1, and TD Music Hall on Saturday, August 2, this event honors not only the band's unmatched musical legacy but also the enduring spirit of drummer and lyricist Neil Peart .

Organized by Steve Brown (founder of RUSHfest Scotland) and Canadian superfan and music journalist Paul Beaulieu , RUSHfest Canada is more than a fan gathering—it's a heartfelt, purpose-driven celebration. All profits from the event will be donated to Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto in Peart’s memory.

“We asked ourselves what the most excellent thing we could do would be,” says Brown. “And it was simple: bring Rush fans together, celebrate their music in the venue where it all started for them, and raise money in Neil’s memory.”

Friday Night: A Return to Massey Hall

The festival kicks off at Massey Hall , where Rush famously recorded their first live album All The World’s A Stage in 1975. Friday’s lineup reads like a love letter to Rush’s legacy, featuring a stunning blend of performers and special guests who have all been touched by the band's music.

Special Guests:

Terry Brown – Legendary producer of Rush’s first 10 albums

Hugh Syme – Iconic Rush art director, whose work spans from 2112 to Clockwork Angels

Musical Guests:

Jonathan Dinklage – Clockwork Angels string ensemble member

Jacob Moon – Singer-songwriter whose cover of “Subdivisions” went viral

Nina DiGregorio & Brody Dolynuik – From Femmes of Rock, praised by Alex Lifeson

Chris Herin – Guitarist of progressive rock band Tiles

David Barrett – Toronto-based instrumental guitar virtuoso

Adi Berk – Known for his cinematic version of “Red Sector A”

Moving Pictures (UK) – Official house band of RUSHfest, returning from Brazil and Lakeside Park

Kevin J. Anderson – Sci-fi author and Peart’s literary collaborator

Saturday: TD Music Hall Brings the Thunder

The celebration continues Saturday at TD Music Hall , showcasing top-tier tribute acts and surprise collaborations in a more intimate setting.

Lineup Includes:

2112 (Burlington) – Performing All The World’s A Stage in full

Permanent Waves (Toronto) – Local legends with an electrifying live show

RUSHfest Canada Allstars Band – An international mix of elite Rush-loving musicians

Encore Performances – Jacob Moon, David Barrett, DiGregorio & Dolynuik return to the stage

Honouring the Legacy with the Ones Who Lived It

Joining the festivities as guests of honour are members of the Peart and Živojinović families, as well as pivotal figures from Rush’s long journey, including Bob King and Mike Dixon . While RUSHfest Canada is not officially affiliated with the band, it has received the blessing and support of many who helped shape Rush’s legendary story.

“This is more than nostalgia,” says Beaulieu, who has attended 114 Rush concerts since 1976. “It’s about keeping the spirit alive, supporting a vital cause, and creating new memories in places that mean something to Rush fans.”
