AMETROPIA Signs Worldwide Deal with Extreme Management Group

South-central Pennsylvania’s rising force in extreme metal, AMETROPIA , has officially inked a worldwide management deal with the powerhouse agency Extreme Management Group (EMG) —home to some of the genre’s most iconic names including Suffocation , Atheist , and Misery Index . This landmark partnership marks a major milestone for the band, as they look to take their crushing blend of blackened death and groove metal to the global stage.

Formed from a lethal mix of veteran extremity and fresh blood, AMETROPIA has quickly earned a reputation for their intense live shows and hard-hitting compositions. Their independently released debut LP, Original Sin (July 19, 2024), exploded across the underground scene, hailed for its unique blend of raw aggression, technical precision, and infectious grooves. YouTube metal critic Metal Trenches praised the album for its dynamic pacing and creative flair, calling it “a record worth diving into.”

Fans of Gojira , Death , and Pantera will find familiar echoes in AMETROPIA’s sound—yet the band carves out their own space in the extreme metal universe. Frontman Tyler “Vrases” Hoffer leads the charge with guttural vocals, savage riffing, and lyrics that dive deep into themes of horror, anti-religion, and existential dread. Bassist Eric Van Valkenburgh , a seasoned musician, blends his experience with Hoffer’s modern influence to conjure a sound that’s both timeless and forward-thinking. Drummer David Cherry delivers relentless blast beats and groove-laden transitions that complete the trio’s signature style.

Recorded and produced by drummer-extraordinaire Ashley Maccabee , Original Sin serves up eight tracks of hellish groove-laced brutality.
