BEHEMOTH Unleashes Video for New Single "The Shadow Elite" – Get Ready for The Shit Ov God

Extreme metal pioneers BEHEMOTH are set to release their highly anticipated 13th studio album, The Shit Ov God , on May 9, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records. To give fans a taste of what's to come, the band has dropped the official music video for the album's second single, "The Shadow Elite." Watch the intense video below and prepare for the unrelenting energy of BEHEMOTH's latest creation.

"The Shadow Elite" – A Raw Anthem for the Outcasts

In classic BEHEMOTH fashion, "The Shadow Elite" is a high-energy anthem that channels the band's early roots. The video features an exclusive invite-only performance for BEHEMOTH's most dedicated fans—"The Shadow Elite"—who gather at a secret location, branded and tattooed with the band's sigils. The chaotic scene unfolds as BEHEMOTH performs within a cage, offering a primal and visceral experience for both the band and its loyal legionnaires.

Lyrically, "The Shadow Elite" serves as a call to arms for anarchists, outcasts, and free thinkers, urging them to rise and amplify the fire of freedom that burns within. As frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski puts it: "'The Shadow Elite' is a raw, high-energy anthem with a relentless drive—a banger built for the stage!"

The Shit Ov God – BEHEMOTH's Most Polarizing Album Yet

The Shit Ov God is shaping up to be BEHEMOTH’s most extreme and inflammatory record to date. With 34 years of history behind them, BEHEMOTH dives deep into themes of humanity, divinity, and defiance in an age where individuality is both celebrated and oppressed. Nergal explains that the album title is a direct, polarizing statement, designed to provoke and confront listeners: "We chose this provocative title deliberately, rejecting subtlety in favor of a direct and polarizing statement."

Despite the bluntness of the title, the album’s artwork cleverly complements its provocative themes. The cover art features an upside-down version of the iconic "IHS" Christogram, which adds a layer of depth and irony to the album’s message. "I've reached a point in BEHEMOTH's journey where words mean less and less," Nergal shares. "The true essence of who we are lies in our music, art, visuals, sounds, and performances."

BEHEMOTH's Legacy – Opvs Contra Natvram and Beyond

With The Shit Ov God , BEHEMOTH continues to push the boundaries of extreme metal, offering a raw, unfiltered glimpse into their darkest artistic visions.
