Fans of Hades , the underground metal pioneers, are in for a treat as Brutal Planet Records prepares to release three iconic Hades albums on vinyl for the very first time. Set to launch tonight, these vinyl releases will include the long-awaited pressings of their comeback albums, Saviorself (1999) and The Downside (2000), as well as The Lost Fox Studio Sessions , which features live-in-the-studio recordings from the band.

Hades originally made their mark in the metal scene with the release of the classics Resisting Success (1987) and If At First You Don’t Succeed (1988). These albums established Hades as a force in the underground metal community, but the band disbanded shortly after their 1989 European tour. A decade later, they reunited and returned with their comeback albums, which were originally released under Metal Blade Records . Now, both albums are finally getting the vinyl treatment, much to the delight of their dedicated fanbase.

The Downside , one of the two albums being reissued, features notable guest appearances from Overkill’s DD Verni and SOD/MOD frontman Billy Milano , adding to its significance in the metal community. Reflecting on the album, Hades founding member Dan Lorenzo said, "I know most people consider Resisting Success as their favorite Hades album, but for me, it's probably The Downside . I feel like Alan (Tecchio) and Ed Fuhrman were at the top of their game."

Lorenzo, who is now focused on his current project Patriarchs In Black with former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly , expressed his enthusiasm about the new vinyl releases. "I'm always happy when Hades gets any acknowledgment, and Brutal Planet did a great job on these vinyl releases," he said.
