Mortalus to Release Highly Anticipated Album "Three Times Louder"

Heavy metal enthusiasts, brace yourselves! Mortalus, the formidable metal trio hailing from Little Rock, AR, is set to release their latest album, "Three Times Louder," on June 14, 2024. Fans of Anthrax, Evergrey, and Testament will find much to love in this powerhouse release.

Heavy Metal in the 21st century is an ocean of subgenres, each as diverse as the species that inhabit the seas. For Mortalus, their brand of metal is just as vast—sometimes deep and dark, other times pristine and beautiful, and often filled with hull-crushing fury.

Mortalus, known for their "modern old school" style, draws influences from iconic bands such as "The Big Four," Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Evergrey, D.R.I., Nightwish, and even Toto. This expansive inspiration pool fuels their dynamic sound, combining intensity, melody, and raw power.

Fronted by the whirlwind force of nature known as “Metal” Michelle Gann, Mortalus captivates audiences with her commanding lead vocals and impressive guitar skills. Bryan “Bedrock” Bedgood on bass and vocals adds a quirky, melodic layer to the band’s sound, while drummer Patrick “Gumbo” Mahoney delivers battleship-level power and intensity behind the kit. Once a quartet, Mortalus now thrives as a trio, channeling their passion and prowess into music that resonates deeply with fans.

"Three Times Louder" promises to be a testament to Mortalus's evolution and dedication to their craft. Each track is a powerful journey through the depths and heights of heavy metal, showcasing their unique blend of styles and influences.

Mortalus states:

"These are the live versions of some of our favorite songs from our first two albums. They were reimagined to fit a power trio, and we included a bonus track of our take on 'Motorbreath' by Metallica . The one and done approach was used for the recording session. There weren’t any touchups, overdubs, patch-ins, etc. We used our live equipment and gear to record at Crisp Recording Studios in Fayetteville, Arkansas."

Mark your calendars for June 14, 2024, and prepare for a sonic experience that only Mortalus can deliver. Follow the band on social media for updates and sneak peeks of their upcoming release.
