A message from PROPHET:
This is a post that hurts us to our souls. Two days ago on Wednesday May 22nd 2024 we received the news that our beloved brother and drummer, Tim Conroy (EVIL T) has passed away.
On Monday May 20th we had a great rehearsal as always and all appeared completely normal with him. We have since found out that most likely when he went home that night or the next morning is when it happened.
The cause of death (we have been told) was a cerebral aneurysm. Our new bass Player Jason Pyle was the one who went over to Tim's apartment to check on him and found him. My heart hurts for Jason as well.
We waited a few days to say anything so his family members could be notified first and not receive such sad and catastrophic news from a Facebook post.
Let me share with you a little bit about our friend and brother Tim. First of all, he was an amazing person with a great and dry sense of humor. He joined ST. MADNESS in 2017, and he was 110% dedicated to the band the entire time.
Tim not only was my favorite drummer that I have ever had the good fortune to make music with in my 46 years in this business, but he was so much more than just an incredible drummer. He played many instruments, sang, and loved adding all kinds of samples in our music, live shows, and recordings.
Tim wrote the guitar part/music for the song, COWBOYS OF APOCALYPSE on the 2021 album, "LAST DAYS IN PARADISE by PROPHET & THE COWBOYS OF APOCALYPSE. He also added keyboard parts to some of the songs on the latest ST. MADNESS album, "LAST RITES: The Final Blessing".
To say that we will miss him would be the hugest understatement that we could ever express.
All of us have shed tears over his passing, and I imagine that that will continue for quite some time.
Oddly enough, the latest and newest ST. MADNESS song that we were working on with him is entitled, "IT'S ALWAYS HARD TO SAY GOODBYE." Tim wrote a keyboard part for that song, and a guitar part in the middle of the composition as well. If we record it in the future, those parts will be in it for sure. We always got compliments from fans about our one-of-a-kind, amazing drummer.
Tim was a quiet person unless he knew you, and he was very humble. However, if he didn't care for something we were doing musically, he had no problem expressing his thoughts about it. I admired and completely respected him not only as a "once in a lifetime" talent, but as a man and a beautiful soul. We all felt that about him. He made us a much better band because his powerful drumming pushed each of us to step up our game.
Tim Conroy "EVIL T" we love you and will never forget you!!! Thank you for making our band and our lives better just by knowing you.
Vaya con Dios, brother.
