This is the mission statement from the nostalgic story tellers.

Life is a crazy and unpredictable journey, and We Are Sovereign want to take you through every part of it with their music. The songs are a catharsis for the raw emotion that comes along with being human. Taking influences from the early 2000's to the modern day, experimenting heavily with synths and injecting their own personality into the music, We Are Sovereign are bringing their music to the masses, playing as far and wide as possible and continuing to produce their hard hitting music right now and throughout 2024 and beyond. 

It all started in 2019 in an apartment bedroom of co-vocalist and founder Laura Russell. After suffering for years with Gender Dysphoria and spending many years battling mental health, Laura had a life changing operation to feel comfortable within their own skin. The emotions of Laura’s experiences inspired the creation of We Are Sovereign and the unfolding of their debut album 'Step Out Your Comfort Zone' which is out now. 

Co vocalist and founder Laura Russell says "We are all very excited to be working with EMG, as we've been working and pushing these songs for a long time, we feel this partnership will get the music and message out to the wider world! It’s really exciting to be around a team who believe in our band as much as we do.
