How did I meet the band: The album was sent to me by Metal Devastation Radio and I was immediately excited. To be honest, I've always avoided genre crossover. I now want to close this educational gap. So let's listen:

How do I like the disc: The album starts off with a bang, albeit a bit very electronic when you listen to the intro. After that, however, the Thrash takes over and both groovy and full throttle it gets down to business here. The vocals are very high pitched and really pissed off. The guitars and drums do a really good job too, so nothing stands in the way of a decent album.

FRIENDLY FIRE is a short, crisp track that has been reduced to the essentials: great riffs, nasty banging and screaming at the listener. That describes the band pretty well.

INTO INNERMOST is reminiscent of Grindcore at times: the vocals sometimes overturn, while the instruments almost disintegrate because of the speed achieved. But apart from that the track has a lot going for it, so give it a listen.

Conclusion: A strong album that the Latvians put on there. Hard, raging Thrash that beats the quark out of the listener's brain the way it should be. So have a listen here: fullmetalmayhem
