Fugit - Morphogenetic Fractal Hologram - Reviewed By fullmetalmayhem ! Check it out here at this link: https://fullmetalmayhem.wordpress.com/2023/03/06/fugit-mit-morphogenetic-fractal-hologram/
Release date and label: The album was released on February 3rd, 2023 without any label involvement.
Other band releases: This is the fifth album of this project. Previously, three EP's, two singles and one demo and one compilation were released.
How did I meet the band: Again, the album came to me through Metal Devastation Radio. Especially the album name made me curious.
What do I think of the disc: The album is very much carried by keyboards or synths, I have no idea what the difference is. So if you can't do much with it, the album isn't really for you. Everyone else can look forward to sprawling songs that integrate very melodic, dreamy, almost spherical keyboard surfaces into Black Metal. Four of the nine songs also feature clearer, female vocals, which only further supports the ethereal. When using his own vocals, he often mixes his clean voice and screams, which gives these songs an interesting flavor.
Conclusion: All in all very interesting, but not really mine. Yes, the title fits the music somewhere, but the latter is not what I like to hear. It's definitely worth a look for those who are into this genre or genre mix: fullmetalmayhem
