Paris, France — The enigmatic French heavy metal duo IDŌL have emerged once again from the shadows with the release of their full-length EP, Spectra , available now everywhere. Dropped on October 25th, 2025 , this record pulls listeners deep into a labyrinth of gothic atmosphere, haunting melodies, and cinematic metal intensity.

For fans of Ghost, 69 Eyes, and The Cure , Spectra delivers an experience that’s equal parts heavy, hypnotic, and heartbreakingly beautiful. Across its sprawling soundscape, IDŌL blends the pulse of doom and the poetry of dark romance into something wholly their own—a musical séance that bridges the divine and the damned.

Formed in Paris in 2019 , Aletheia and Valens have built a reputation for creating music that blurs the lines between metal, art, and mysticism. From their 2022 debut EP Allegoria to the atmospheric singles “Black Delight” and “Eerie Bells,” the band has steadily evolved their shadowed sound. Spectra represents the culmination of that journey—a bold step further into the darkness.

Produced by Aletheia & Valens and mastered by Giorgio Jost , Spectra is a conceptual work that dives into themes of reflection, transcendence, and the unseen worlds that exist between light and void. Each track feels like a ritual in itself—driven by emotion, shaped by vision, and wrapped in the haunting aesthetic that defines IDŌL.

“ Spectra is the mirror of our souls,” says Aletheia. “It’s where every sound becomes a color, every lyric a ghost. We wanted to create something that lingers long after the final note fades.”
