The band CRIMSON RIVER from Eindhoven announce explosives with their artwork. The Heavy Metal that is administered to us is quite crisp with mostly punky-snotty vocals, it's nice that the NWoBHM still inspires a number of musicians today. This is certainly not to the detriment of the scene. The songs on "Here's To The End... Again" clearly thrive on the excellent guitar work.

The debut with the title song is also very successful, leads, hooks and energy - everything is right here, plus there is a bass that skilfully provides the right groove despite several breaks. The pounding 'We Are The Knights', with its gang shouts in the chorus, also has quality and exudes a touch of Thrash Metal. 'Requiem' starts elegiacly and then picks up a little more speed, the faster sequences oddly vaguely reminiscent of David Bowie in his Berlin phase and the whirling drums at the end leave a positive impression. 'Native', which tends more towards Hard Rock, with its reduced main riff, is a bit simpler. It gets pretty punky at the end with 'The Wild'.

"Here's To The End ... Again" is a successful album without failures and with a tasteful production, but at one point or another the songs fray a bit ('Armada'). 'Katyusha' is unquestionably virtuoso and imaginatively implemented. The only question is whether it is wise to put an instrumental on the track list when there are only seven songs. But that's probably a matter of personal taste. Anyway, CRIMSON RIVER is always strong when the songwriting is rather compact. I can also imagine that a little bit more aggressiveness would suit the band well. Changes in dynamics are plentiful and can easily be built upon. In any case, the potential of the Dutchman can already be clearly seen on their debut, powermetal

Crimson River is a rock / heavy metal band from Eindhoven in The Netherlands and was founded in 2011. Catchy riffs and flaming guitar solos characterize the sound. Strong influences from the New Wave of British Heavy dominate. In addition, the 10-string B.C. Rich Bich and some slide guitar can provide a 70’s classic rock vibe. Shredding leads à la Paul Gilbert and Yngwie Malmsteen complete the picture.

For a long time they were rehearsing in obscurity, finetuning their sound, doing few shows and just having fun. But in 2019, the “Crimson River EP” was released, which was well received. In December of 2022 the single “Here’s To The End… Again” came out, and on February 10th of 2023 the rest of the album will be released into the world!
