UXIA Announces Debut Self-Titled Album – A Progressive Metal Odyssey Set to Release May 2nd Digitally, May 24th Physically
Minneapolis, MN – Progressive metal newcomers UXIA are proud to announce the release of their debut self-titled album, UXIA, available on all digital platforms May 2nd, 2025, with physical copies dropping May 24th via Fable Factory.
Blending the technical prowess of Opeth, the atmospheric depths of Porcupine Tree, and the primal energy of Mastodon, UXIA crafts a sound that is at once aggressive, intricate, and deeply emotive.
UXIA is a five-piece collective whose music transcends genre conventions, interlacing heavy riffs, ethereal soundscapes, and thought-provoking lyrical narratives. Tracks like “Journey to Begin” and “Welcome Holm” dive into the tension between despair and hope, reflecting a profound meditation on the human experience through the lens of nature and existential struggle.
“We want every song to feel like a journey, like the listener is moving through a world that’s as emotional as it is sonic,” the band shares.
The album was meticulously recorded by Will Maravelas at 14:59 and Reed Reimer at Fable Factory, with Reed Reimer also handling mixing and mastering duties to deliver a final product that is immersive, powerful, and sonically rich.
UXIA’s self-titled debut is not just a record—it’s a statement. With a clear vision and relentless dedication to pushing musical boundaries, UXIA invites listeners to join them on a journey of transformation and discovery.
For fans of Porcupine Tree, Opeth, and Mastodon, UXIA offers a captivating and unforgettable progressive metal experience.
