Power Trip recently appeared on an episode of The House of Strombo, a Canadian show that features live performances in the home of its host, George Stroumboulopoulos. The show also recently featured The Melvins and Alice in Chains, so it seems like Mr. Stromboulouls may be on the verge of some sort of mid-life crisis.
Power Trip’s short four song set gave off an energy that I doubt The House of Strombo has ever encountered. It isn’t every day you get to see a mosh pit under a chandelier. As vocalist Riley Gale put it, “I’m really glad this isn’t my house.” Power Trip are at the top of their game, and the performance is just as electric as it is hilarious.
