"Twenty years have passed and I feel like a kid!!!" This is how one of the classics of the great Howitzers prayed, and this is how I feel after 20 years of creating the RRWZ. And throughout these two decades, there has been a constant: Argentine bands practically do not send us their material to be reviewed. And this debut of my countrymen Bulletproof does nothing but highlight this, since who sends it to us is the Polish label Ossuary. Yes, as they read. A Polish label sending material from an Argentine band. Anyway, Thursday night catharsis.
Anyway, reviewing an album by an Argentine band is always for those who write a reason for maximum happiness, since for those of us who started in rock and metal a long time ago, seeing that the scene remains strong and active is always comforting. Listening to this debut EP by this quartet from San Martín (province of Buenos Aires) shows that traditional Argentine heavy metal continues with all the strength of yesteryear and more.
And by the way, Bulletproof is dispatched with five heavies and catchy songs, with a simple, direct and powerful style, but current and forceful, with one foot in the footprint of Manowar and the other in the glorious Running Wild, pavada of influences, right?
The guitars of Ariel Garcia and Poli Serafini sound sharp like knives, with those riffs so in the Kasparek line, and where you can see more creative flight is in the solos, very effective and powerful. The rhythmic base formed by Martin De Bonis and Matias Pena is always in place, giving the work a tremendous forcefulness. And finally the surprise, because the interpretation of Serafini in the voices is rough and aggressive, and the strawberry of the dessert: the lyrics are sung in English, finally showing Bulletproof as a band that seeks to get out of the corset that seem to be trapped most of the bands of our country.
Already finishing this review, it is necessary to clarify that the proposal of Bulletproof is not novel, it is traditional eighties metal, but Bulletproof does not live on nostalgia, but faces its influences with energy, strength and honesty, and so it should be.
"Dynamite" is a real surprise, and from here I want to say that Bulletproof has earned a new fan. - Rocka Rolla

"All around, choruses rock harder than Freddie Mercury in is heyday; once the hard-driving and ever-fuelled "Dynamite" proper blows up in our adamantly grimacing faces, all bets and codpieces are off. The actual musicianship is nothing out of this World - except maybe for these wicked, fun-loving solos which take off at every knuckle-dragging turn, alongside killer main riff to " Flags of Freedom ". Beginning with a stomping, AOR reminiscent drum beat and throbbing, pulsing bass - the kind Rudy Sarzo and Bob Daisley would approve of - this winner makes kick-ass use of its utterly slack n' sleazy momentum, kind of similar to Judas Priest 's " Rock You All Around The World ", but with way more character."

"Leads occasionally feature Tony Iommi' s singularly sharpened, diabolical flair, and I'd be lying by omission not to exclaim (maybe a touch too eagerly) how much this release also brings me back to Slade 's cheesy, albeit wondrous, Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply , from 1984. " Fist Pounding " is another haymaker which suits both illegal drag-racing/911 pursuits and stalled big city traffic jams, alike. Try to dismiss its allegorically fun refrain, and let us know how that works out.
