Originally hailing from Korriban, but now stranded in Atlanta, Georgia, Ecryptus performs Star Wars themed death metal. Unleashing two demos (2002/2004); The Continuum LP (2005); Astral Crusades EP (2008) and a 7-inch single Rancorous (2018/2020), the band returns in 2022 with a new EP ready to inspire the galactic empire of metalheads.
Entitled “Kyr'am Beskar” (Mandalorian for “Death Metal”), the EP contains four tracks “Cauterized Saber Wound Massacre”, “Planetary Enslavement”, “Compulsion to Disintegrate” and “Digested Over a Thousand Years”. Oppressed by the tyranny of the rebel forces, the EP tells takes of the Dark Side and the Canon Arcane.
Today, before the official release of “Kyr'am Beskar” on January 14th via SBDC Records (Slamming Brutal Death Community), Ecryptus have teamed up with NoCleanSinging for its full stream premiere HERE .
Once live shows are a regular occurrence again, Ecryptus is not one to miss. During their dramatic rituals, they wear armor and robes and dress the stage with trophies from recent death marks.
The dark side is strong with Ecryptus is recommended for fans who enjoy Star Wars, death metal and bands such as Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Suffocation.
“Kyr'am Beskar” is available for pre-order via SBDC Records (Slamming Brutal Death Community) at https://sbdcrecords.bandcamp.
