This debut album by Jyrkäs is interesting, being reissued, with an authentic folk /pagan / metal with a little touches or atmospheres of black, native and full of fantasy, occultism and Finnish mythology. What strikes me is that it does not use common instruments such as guitars or drums, in this album we can listen to music with different percussion elements and the same elements of Folk, with clean and rough voices with good rhythmic style as in Voimaa that also has wind instruments such as the bagpipes. Another highlight of the album is the last song Juhlapäivä sung in another language which I do not know but perhaps it is in some ancient or extinct language, as such for connoisseurs of the genre they will love a different sound than the usual or modern with native elements and dark - mythical theme. The album "Sydämeni kuusipuulle" is a good example of musical styles with different instruments but with the same energy and theme in their production. For lovers of Northern European Folk it will be a masterpiece only for connoisseurs! - Rocka Rolla Web Zine

Sydämeni Kuusipuulle is the debut solo album of Jyrkäs. No electric guitars, bass, keyboards or drums used on this album. The result is still the real pagan heavy metal! The lyrics are about Finnish mythology, nature mysticism, occultism, human feelings and sex. It was first published at year 2019 with a limited MC edition, but in the year 2020 Italian label Earth And Sky Productions re-published it first digitally then, at 12.2.2021 as a CD."
