Other releases of the band: Here I have their second EP, they have released two albums and three singles.

How did I get to know the band: Metal Devastation Radio also sent me an interesting EP that appealed to me immediately. Let's see if the songs can keep what the titles promise.

How do I find the disc: Unfortunately, it doesn't. If you want, you can see if this is something for you:

THERE IS NO GOD BUT THE GOD OF DEAD opens the album with an interesting instrumental that consists mainly of strings and is remotely reminiscent of oriental music.

EVER CURSED fits seamlessly into the intro, but here are also drums, clapping and vocals. Unfortunately, the song gets lost in too many ideas. Whenever it sounds as if it really starts, the track is slowed down again. Too bad, but maybe the next one is more good.

ANCIENT EVIL SUPREME steps on the gas more, but unfortunately it sounds like its predecessor, also here the vocals are partly buried in the mix. In between, it also sounds as if my wife's plotter is working in front of him. So on to the next track.

AN UNGODLY SIGHT brings out the death metal side of the band and this is the first song that is good for something, although here too it sounds like you have two songs on the speakers at the same time.

GNAWED AND TORN first slows down and then kicks the gas. Here, unfortunately, I am bothered by the melody that they have packed into the foreground. It's not bad in itself, but it doesn't really fit the rest of the song and the vocals do what it wants.

THE GRAVE OF ENDLESS WRITHING reminds me a bit of Braindrill, but where they screw together really tracks with their confusing lines, here only a tired knock-off comes out. I understand the intention, but unfortunately the result is not convincing.

MURDERER is again introduced by strings, together with a piano. Here I recognize for the first time something like a structure in music. Maybe even the best song of the EP, it's pretty brutal, the vocals aren't buried either, but still nothing earth-shattering.

THEY BREED knocks me out completely again. The guitar line at the beginning is really strange, as if it had been taken out of a children's song and put in front of a crazy guitarist who improvises wildly with it.

SINS UNFORGIVEN finishes the album quite quietly at first, then it gets a bit faster to the point, but I think I've said everything.

Conclusion: I can't make a recommendation here. I don't understand the songs, hardly anything appeals to me. Maybe it sounds better to your ears: - Full Metal Mayhem

Released June 9th 2021

FFO: Darkthrone, Gorgoroth, Morbid Angel

The grave of endless writhing is an ep which tells a story conceptually of hell coming to the surface of the earth and infecting the cosmos. It could be interpreted as mans eternal struggle against death and the constant suppression of it in the mind, which wreaks havoc on the individual.
Bio: Sorrow Enthroned is a one man extreme metal act birthed from woods of New England which takes elements of melodic black metal, death metal, and brutal death metal to create a sound unnerving and hostile to the enemies of free spirits.
