A young man from Poland is preparing to become the next big hit from his country with the project AEON OF ETERNAL. With the debut album THE WANDERER he really hasn't given a bad first sign of life. On the contrary.

The album offers six full-fledged songs, plus a small outro. Makes together exactly 40 minutes. The song names are, as noted below, in different languages that follow a certain concept. The lyrics themselves sound mostly English.

Musically, we move in black and death doom metal of the melodic kind with progressive insertions. Niwl also starts very black metal heavy, the melodic riffs like as well as the sound itself. The guitar solo in the last minute alone sounds heartily weird and messes up a possible, epic-looking finale. Sumu, on the other hand, makes it better and more coherent.

It gets really strong with Koit, whose initial reef is outstanding. I feel a little reminded of 'Be'lakor'. But that certainly doesn't make it any worse. An intense song with plenty of variety, blast beats, female background vocals and a wonderfully melodic main riff. But also the dynamic Deigh and the gothighafte Torden can score in the same way.

THE WANDERER is admittedly an album, which I put back after the first notes. I just couldn't find access. But now, after almost a week of continuous rotation, more and more details unfold that want to be discovered. This paired with passionate vocals, epic melodies, dark melancholy and sad atmosphere make this debut an insider tip.

Just some guitar solo does not want to ignite and sounds out of place. As e.B. also with Daruuraha and with Torden. Otherwise, THE WANDERER convinces me all along the line. Not an outstanding, but more than neat and easy to hear album, which will find its place with me more often. And the mystical album cover speaks for itself.
