Other releases of the band: This is probably their fourteenth album, at least according to the count of Metal Devastation Radio. 

How did I get to know the band: Here, too, The Metal Devastation Radio came up to me and that they wrote, for fans of Rammstein, I was really excited. Let's see what the album is good for. 

How do I find the record: Well, not quite my case, three songs are good, but let's listen in: 

TEN THOUSANDS OF SEELEN opens with strings, probably from a synth. After that it gets harder before the singing starts. So it's going to be moderately exciting. The vocals are not bad, but I don't like the melody and the lyrics. Only the synthiest rich in the background please me a little bit. 

THE I BURNED sounds better. The vocals here sound a whole corner more aggressive, at least in places. These hard passages remind me of icebreakers or even Rammstein, but the rest goes more towards ASP and I'm completely out of there. So on. 

HOW THE WIND starts with a sample of wind before the synthiest stake opens the song. After that, the song stays true to the style of the album and I've already said everything about it. 

NEXT TO THE MOON begins with a beautiful piano melody. After that it goes on as usual, only that we get to hear a duet here. Here the softness fits the male voice, but not so mine. 

CHILDREN OF THE DUNKELEIT first offers us a child who rather sluggishly says, "We are the children of darkness." After that the track starts and I can even win something from it. Maybe that's my expectations, because I was looking forward to this song through the title. 

EISBERG is the strongest song so far. A raucous voice takes us on the journey, which leads over hard guitars and a relentless drumming. The fact that the chorus is a little more melodic also fits quite well. 

AUGEN AUF sounds a bit like Halloween at the beginning, at least I have the feeling that Michael Meyers is swinging a kitchen knife right away. After this key part, it goes on drifting and hard. As usual, the chorus is melodious again, but fitting. 

MY LIEBES KIND ends the album and sounds more like the beginning. So not my case, that's why I'm closing here. 

Conclusion: Maybe something for friends of icebreakers or ASP, so not mine. I can give myself three songs, but the rest is not. Listen in, maybe you like it - Full Metal Mayhem

Cradle of Haze: New album with old line-up! German gothic rockers "Cradle of Haze" release "Zehntausend Seelen", their 14th studio album. "Zehntausend Seelen" comes with eight crisp and to the point, straightforward gothic rock/gothic metal songs. The lyrics are as usual morbidly gloomy and describe once the dark sides of the humanoid being, primal fears, emotions and desires, socio-critical aspects as well as inglorious characteristics of the human species. Here, too, the true messages of the songs are not always clearly discernible and leave room for the listener's own interpretations.

FFO: Rammstein, Lindemann, Erdling 

On this album, singer Anni Meier is also back. The two voices once again complement each other to create a harmonious sound that shapes and colors the songs and their messages. In the selection of sounds, mastermind Thorsten Eligehausen decided to use more orchestral instruments on this album, in addition to the dominant electric guitars; electronic instruments were deliberately used less this time. "This selection and combination of instruments, coupled with our voices results in the modern sound of Cradle of Haze. It underlines the catchy melodies and underpins the message of the songs," says Thorsten Eligehausen. Of course, there is also a special guest on this album that must be mentioned! The eldest daughter of the "family business" Cradle of Haze, for which a special EP (Hand in Hand) was released especially for her birth in 2015, got her first little assignment on the song "Kinder der Dunkelheit".

As a small foretaste, the song "Wie der Wind" was released on YouTube on April 26, 2021.

"Zehntausend Seelen" will be released on May 21, 2021 and is available for download and streaming.
