Release date: The album has been available since February 21, 2021 Other releases of the band: This is their sixth album, after two EP's and one single. How did I get to know the band: Once again, Metal Devastation Radio approached me. So let's get on with it. How do I find the disc: What should I say here? nothing? Ok then we listen to the thing:
BAPHOMETH CROWN puts on a decent shirt and hopefully shows where the journey is going. Hard uncompromising death metal. Tempo and Moshparts alternate here and we get really growls. So the album is welcome to continue.
BOUND TO THE GORE hits the same notch, but there's a bit of groove to it. The whole thing invites you to fear. So we enjoy the rest of the song and let the hair fly.
THE SHINING BLAZE OF HELL is picking up the pace again. At least at the beginning, after that it continues to stomp. Here I really have to compliment the singer. He gets it really well that you understand the lyrics and the vocals still sound wonderfully inhumane.
DOWN TO VOID stays true to the style, but the formula of the album slowly wears off. The songs themselves are not bad, the solos are also nicely crisp, but here I think I have already heard everything the band can do.
CONSUMED BY THE STORM starts threateningrather rather than hard and here the band surprised me. After this intro it goes fast, but this track has something in itself that I have missed with the others so far. Really great.
THROUGH THE HAZE OF DEATH sounds a bit like Bolt Thrower, his slow track that inexorably pushes through my ear canals like a tank, punctuated only by short speed peaks.
VOICES COMES FROM THE NIGHT is a very decent instrumental in between, but unfortunately nothing special.
IN RAPTURE OF PAIN starts with a rather long intro and then offers us a solid mid-tempo track, but unfortunately nothing more. But I still hope for a really good song.
KING OF WRATH starts quite thrashy, with neat guitar whisk. Then we get a nice driving song, so far the praying song of the album, but also no more than a filler for a playlist.
REMEMBRANCE OF A MURDER remains true to the style of the album. Very good death, but nothing that stands out from the crowd or really excites me. What a pity.
NECROPHILIAC (SLAYER COVER) is just the original, tuned a little deeper. That's where I stick to the Slayer version.
Conclusion: I'm really sorry here, because I was looking forward to this review, because I really like the cover. You can listen, but you don't miss anything. - Full Metal Mayhem
Nocturnal Hollow, one of the most prolific and consistent groups in Venezuelan metal, returns with its new studio album Triumphantly Evil.
After six acclaimed record labels, both at a Latin American and global level, the distinguished extreme metal ensemble premieres its seventh full-length release, which arrives to definitively consolidate its position as standard bearers of the Swedish Death Metal style in the region.
"We always try to experiment by getting to a level above our abilities," states the band. "The sound approach is the same, always faithful to the roots of Swedish Death Metal. However, we tried to add certain elements of our musical tastes so that the result of this album was different."
The album Triumphantly Evil was released on February 21, 2021. This seventh record of the band is presented as a faster and more aggressive one. Those are the elements that the musicians sought to capture in this record work.
The lyrics of the album deal with Satanist themes, but not from the most literal and diabolical aspect of the concept, quite the opposite. Nocturnal Hollow immerses the listener in the dark and recondite aspects of the human being.
We all have a very dark part within us, side that Triumphantly Evil will help us to wake up. It is time to surface our inner demons.
NOCTURNAL HOLLOW is a Death Metal outfit that originated in Venezuela in 2010. Designed and led by José Escalante, to this day they continue to write brutal content that positions them as references.
Composed of musicians with a long history both in local bands and in international projects, their music recalls the golden age of the genre offering a direct and raw proposal for fans.
They are supported by major record labels that have printed, distributed and played their music around the world. In turn, important zines and blogs have described the music of Nocturnal Hollow as "consistent and competitive to the world market of Extreme Metal".
They are currently promoting their seventh studio album Triumphantly Evil, a record that stands out for its aggressiveness and density. Everything is pushed even further to the extreme.
Category musicians for a group that has a vast trajectory in heavy music, to the point that the media consider Nocturnal Hollow as one of the most important bands in the Swedish Death Metal genre in Latin America.
