New York’s Chesty Malone & the Slice ‘Em Ups’ new EP “Satanic Brooklyn Scum” was just released on the Idaho independent label 1332 Records on April 1. SBS is the follow up release to their 2016 CD “Were Still Dead.” Inspired by a front page headline from the New York Post, it has tales of demonically possessed miscreants and cannibals set to blistering, cutting edge street punk founding members Anthony and Jaqueline Begnal have been known for since the 2010s. Kaya Chaos (whose band Deviant Behavior was a fixture in the NY punk scene for years) listened to this once and instantly became a fan, recommending everyone check out all their releases immediately. Chesty Malone & the Slice ‘Em Ups can aptly be described as Plasmatics meets Nausea.
