FFO: all things heavy metal 
The Norwegian band SLAVES TO FASHION embarks on a bold adventure in 2020!
This year our beloved heavy metal genre celebrates its 50 years anniversary. I 1970 Black Sabbath released their ground-breaking self-titled debut album, and they followed it up with "Paranoid" that very same year. Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin also released highly influential albums that same year. Thus 1970 is by many regarded as the birth year of heavy metal.
SLAVES TO FASHION celebrates this occasion in their own special way. Every month of 2020 they will release a new original song that is inspired by, pays tribute to and represents a time period or subgenre of heavy metal. In December all the songs will become the full album entitled "The History of Heavy Metal".
So far they have released 6 out of 12 tracks that feature Classic Hard Rockl, NWOBHM, Glam Metal, Thrash Metal, Extreme Metal (Death, Speed, Grind and Black metal) and Grunge. All songs accompanied with lyric videos of high production.

SLAVES TO FASHION released two albums and toured Norway and Germany between 2007 and 2012 with their own twist of progressive hard rock. After changing lead singer they played modern metal until they went on hiatus 2014. The band then sporadically appeared as MOTESLAVENE, the pop version of the band playing their won songs in Norwegian.

In 2020 they return with the ambitious concept album "The History of Heavy Metal", releasing one new song each month that pays tribute to the different time periods and subgenres of heavy metal.
