After a lot of work and waiting, the Progressive Death / Thrash Metal band from São Paulo, APOKRISIS , released today (August 14) "Absinthe From The Gods" , the first single extracted from the upcoming debut album, "Misanthropy" , with an expected release date towards the end of that year.

"Absinthe From The Gods" was composed by Rodrigo Sanner, Evandro Bezerra, Emerson Soares, Alexandre Tamarossi and Thiago Schulze, with lyrics by Rodrigo Sanner and cover by Emerson Soares.

"I sought to address the fury of people who cling to the faith to solve the problems of their lives and who are not attended to by their deities. And the mixture of voices, aggressive and guttural with more melodic vocalizations, tries to convey exactly the dichotomy of feelings of faith and disbelief. " Rodrigo Sanner (vocals)

"This track is clearly inspired by Thrash Metal from the 80s and 90s, where the riffs are striking and present throughout the composition. I think we did a good job of bringing Thrash's weight and aggressiveness into this song with melodic and striking passages. " Evandro Bezerra (guitar)

APOKRISIS is a Progressive Death / Thrash Metal band from São Paulo, formed in 2007, in São Paulo / SP, by vocalist Rodrigo Sanner and guitarist Evandro Bezerra , under the proposal of seeking different musical elements and creating a technical, aggressive sound, mainly with own identity. It has gone through several formations since its foundation, but since 2013 the band has maintained the same members, striving for unity and cohesion. It was only ten years after the start of activities that the first singles were officially recorded: “Quantum Messiah” (2017) and “Memories” (2018), widely publicized. In 2020, things started to move even with the # COVID19 pandemic haunting everyone, and the path to the release of the long-awaited debut album started to be paved. "Misanthropy" , a title chosen by the quartet, was produced, mixed and mastered by Michel Villares and co-produced by Ricky Franco , both from M&H Studi o, and is scheduled to be released in late 2020. To kill fans' anxiety and even from the musicians, "Absinthe From The Gods" , the first single from " Misanthropy" , was released.
