Ozzy announced back in April that longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde would be returning to his solo band for some summer touring, and a headline appearance at the Aftershock Festival in California this fall was just announced this week.

Last year’s Ozzfest came in the form of the two-day “Ozzfest Meets Knotfest,” a combination of Ozzy’s namesake festival with that of Slipknot’s. The last two Ozzfests before that, in 2015 and 2013, took place in Japan only. The last time Ozzfest existed in its original U.S. touring package incarnation was 2007.

This could mean anything or it could simply mean one thing.... Who knows, but this is what Ozzy posted recently on twitter.

"Hey Zakk, should we do an #Ozzfest this year?"
