XificurK is a two-person project that debuted literally few days ago. The debut is an EP containing three songs (Prologue, Sivodola, Phomebat). The first song can be treated as a moody intro in which you can hear the sounds of a delicate guitar, whispers, bells in the background giving a mysterious, sad and uncertain climate. The second track is full-blooded black metal, but not in a popular style and tempo reminiscent of the speed of a Japanese train. It is at a medium pace, even trance-like, with a dirty, full-bodied sound more associated with the turn of the 1980s - the 1990s - and the musicians themselves do not hide their inspiration from the achievements of BURZUM. The last one, "Phomebat" is a number that begins with music and the Orthodox church choir, turning into soft guitar sounds only in order to hit in the second part with strong drums and dirty guitar sounds full of nostalgia and resignation.
XificurK is made by Temira De Temirin and Sitre De Sitrin, and the first of them was commented on black metal musical inspirations: ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
"Everyone who knows the work of Burzum will immediately hear strong inspiration in the third song of our EP, we put a lot of emphasis on the black metal philosophy than on its current musical frames. In our opinion, black metal has no frames. We want to create music that will be in opposition to the "beautiful black metal" of today, we try to get the dirt of the most important wave of black metal from Norway. Although, despite everything, we took a light inspiration from the band Batushka, but more in the form of a caricature, rather than reproducing orthodox church music from the east. "
"We want to oppose the "Beautiful Black Metal" of nowadays. That is why we want to cut off the genre Black Metal. We recognize ourself as a new genre: The Blackest Metal"
