Taiwanese atmospheric black metal band Laang 冷 (Keelung City) releases their debut album Hǎiyáng 海洋 on Talheim Records. Laang 冷 is a one-man black metal project fronted by 杨涛海 (Yáng Tāohǎi). The music and lyrics are inspired by visions of a horrifying afterlife during a near-death experience when Tāohǎi was shot.
The album combines depressive melodies, driving instrumentals, tortured vocals, and traditional Erhu instrumentation. The album was released digitally on the 10th of February 2019 and will be released in digipak format on Talheim Records in June 2019.
