Arch Enemy Reveal New Track From Upcoming Covers Album Release!

Arch Enemy will release a covers album entitled Covered in Blood on January 18th via Century Media, and they’ve now made the full tracklist available, which you can peep below.

Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Europe and Megadeth are a few of the bands whose songs will be getting the makeover treatment on the 24-track (!) set. I’m most excited to hear how the band tackles the Manowar and Queensryche cuts; those could be interesting, right? To me a good cover consists of just the right mix of the original version and the covering band’s own personality, a balance that’s often tough to strike. We’ll see how Arch Enemy do come mid-January, but their version of Tears for Fears’ classic “Shout” — which is out now and can be streamed below — is promising, especially given how covered to death that song has become over the years. - Via MetalSucks
